Adam Kutinsky  is a Member of Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC. He is a trial attorney with a wealth of experience in complex commercial litigation before judges, juries and arbitrators. His litigation skills have been described as “masterful” by clients with decades of experience working with outside counsel in complex high exposure cases. Mr Kutinsky’s practice focuses on matters concerning contract disputes, real estate, insurance coverage and liability defense. Mr. Kutinsky is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, which is a designation reserved for only 1% of all practicing attorneys in each jurisdiction. In 2017, as defense trial counsel to one of the largest public universities in the United States, Mr. Kutinsky successfully tried a high exposure case to verdict in the Michigan Court of Claims.  At trial, the plaintiff claimed more than ten million dollars ($10,000,000) in economic damages, but received a verdict of zero dollars ($0) in economics based in large part on the skillful lawyering of Mr. Kutinsky.

Mr. Kutinsky is also a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®), which is a professional designation in property-casualty insurance and risk management. He is a frequent lecturer and author on the subjects of insurance coverage and real estate litigation. In 2012, the CPCU® Society Claims Interest Group named him person of the year at its annual meeting in Washington DC. On October 29, 2012, Mr. Kutinsky was featured on National Public Radio, WDET, The Craig Fahle Show, for a discussion of legal issues related to urban renewal. In addition, Mr. Kutinsky’s unique expertise in the area of insurance coverage was the subject of feature articles in both Michigan Lawyers Weekly and the Detroit Legal News.

He is AV® Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Kutinsky appears in The Best Lawyers in America© for Litigation – Insurance each year from 2016 to 2018. Mr. Kutinsky received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College. Mr. Kutinsky is licensed to practice law in Michigan, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
