Lindsey LaForest

Lindsey LaForest is an Associate at Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC. She concentrates her practice in the areas of business transactions, corporate law, and real estate. As part of her practice, Lindsey advises clients on property acquisitions, property sales, commercial developments, and general corporate matters.

Lindsey graduated from the University of Michigan in 2019, cum laude, with a B.A. in sport management and minor in law, justice, and social Change. In 2022, she graduated with a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. While in law school, she served as President of the Student Board of Governors, President of the Sport and Entertainment Law Society, Co-Chair of the Jaffe Transactional Law Competition, and a senior member of the Wayne State University Moot Court. She completed the Wayne State Business and Community Law Clinic, where she advised a local low-profit limited liability company on their legal matters. Lindsey also served as a Title IX research assistant to Professor Nancy Chi Cantalupo.

During law school, Lindsey interned with Lakeshore Legal Aid during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, where she handled litigation regarding family law, landlord-tenant disputes, and public benefits. She volunteered with the Wayne State Asylum and Immigration Clinic, where she assisted with client intakes in Spanish and English. She also interned with the Detroit Pistons legal team working on a variety of in-house and transactional matters.

Lindsey serves on the Board of Directors for the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and it the Treasurer for the Wayne Region. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Detroit Bar Association, Detroit Economic Club, and University of Michigan Alumni Association, and serves on the Alumni Committee for the Michigan Sport Business Conference.
