
Leon M. Schurgin is of counsel to Dawda Mann. Mr. Schurgin concentrates his practice representing parties involved in complex transactions with an emphasis on real estate, corporate law, and tax law. He has represented developers in the acquisition, construction, financing, operation, and sale of shopping centers and freestanding commercial buildings.
Until his retirement from the board, Mr. Schurgin served for 20 years as a director of Agree Realty Corp., a real estate investment trust based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Mr. Schurgin received his LLM (Taxation) from Wayne State University in 1976, his JD from Wayne State University Law School, magna cum laude, in 1968 and his BBA from the University of Michigan in 1964.
